A BAD ATTITUDE!!!!

Yes a great attitude is the best attire for an interview! Have you been going for endless interviews and just not closing the deal or getting the job?
Are you perhaps feeling dumbfounded? You said the right things right? So what went wrong? Your outfit was a designer label...

Well my insight is the insiders info--I get to hear 'why' you didnt get the job and and I'm here to guide you to closing the deal and getting that job you really desire.

Embracing the right attitude starts way before your interview, not just during the interviewing process. Its having the right product knowledge that allows that positive attitude to shine through. What product knowledge you ask?

You are the product. When you are being interviewed, you are basically asking the client to 'buy' you, your services. You're telling him why he will gain a return on his investment. You're telling him why he just cannot do without your expertise. In order to market yourself effectively, you need to know beyond any doubt where your strengths lie. Where have you gotten the majority of your experience? What major clients have you brought on board for the different companies you have worked for in the past or present? What were your achievements that really stand out? Did you exceed targets, meet them consistently? Do you have a passion for a specific type of service or product that may be related to his company. Are you tenacious in your pursuit for service excellence. Do you do YOUR best in every situation? Do you see that cup half full? Do you enjoy client interaction, is one of your strengths the ability to effectively listen to a clients needs in order to secure retention business. Did you research this company well before you stepped onto their premises? Did you leave him/her with an impression of your leadership style, do you believe in taking your team to the top with you? How have you previously invested yourself and your time in your jobs---do you feel as though you own the companies you work for--thereby taking accountability for your results in stead of blaming outside factors?

OR

Did you spend your interview telling him what an awful boss you have currently. How you really hated all your jobs and all the staff were really mean and obnoxious? Did you tell him that you're not sure what you really want to do in your career, how you'll give it a try and see how it goes? How you have dealt with some really creepy customers and you told them to take a hike? Did you tell him/her how underpaid and overworked you are? Did you make sure to tell him how the glass is half empty? Did you sit through this interview aksing the client to tell you more about his company and why you should want to work for him?Did you leave him with the impression that you are a follower and have very little leadership potential so its best that he holds your hand through this position? Did you tell him how you cant wait to get out of that joke of a company? Oh and this one is good---Did you tell him/her how the recession made sure that you never attained your targets and that things are just so bad Internationally that there is just no hope any more?

If you read both paragraphs carefully enough, its clear as to whom the client will offer the job to---ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING.

A positive confident individual is magentic and draws opportunities with their infectious spirit. They leave everyone wanting more and believing in them enough to give them an opportunity. They humbly express their interest and enthusiasm to work for such a fabulous organisation. They talk with honour and respect about their previous jobs that allowed them the financial opportunity to feed their families and ultimately made them who they are today by allowing them different experiences to grow within their professions. They have no resentment and bitterness - remember that like attracts like--Take the right attitude and you will get the right attitude back.
